Do you grow enough onions to keep your family in fresh home grown onions all winter long? In this article, I will go over choosing the correct onion varieties to grow, and how to properly store them to keep them for fresh eating until the end of winter/early spring.

As a homesteader and gardener, my goal was to grow as much food as I can for my family to eat. The goal was to eliminate buying as much produce as possible from the store in an effort to be as self-sustaining as possible. So onions? YES! We eat a lot of onions. So through trial and error, I have figured out how to best grow them, store them and eat them, all through the winter.
